Taline Assi: High-Impact Entrepreneur Supported by Endeavor
Selected among the 15 Lebanese high-impact entrepreneurs by Endeavor, the leading high-impact entrepreneurship movement around the globe, Taline Assi, co-founder of Mosaic Marble scores a remarkable success in 2013. Despite the harsh economic conditions prevailing in Lebanon, Taline Assi achieved outstanding milestones for her company, moving her offices and factory to bigger premises in Mazraat Yachouh.
This expansion comes in line with the company’s impressive growth in mosaic manufacturing and designing, with plans to enlarge production capacity and strengthen quality and cost control. Leading the market with tailor-made mosaic products, Mosaic Marble is rapidly expanding locally and internationally, creating new job opportunities for Lebanese talent in Lebanon and overseas. Hitting its ambitious growth targets in regional and global markets, the company succeeded in earning the support of Endeavor.
In 2013, Mosaic Marble completed the restoration work of 600sqm of mosaic flooring for the Williamsburgh Saving Bank in Brooklyn, New York, signing its name on a world-scale five-star event space project. The three-year restoration process required a budget of $18.5 million and gathered a team of more than twenty consultants led by the period expert, architect David Scott Parker, while the mosaic marble flooring was shipped to Lebanon where Mosaic Marble hand cut and crafted every piece of it.
The company’s plan to shine and showcase its mosaics in an increasing number of projects does not end here. In 2014, the world will watch the company’s mosaics featured in a Hollywood movie starring Denzel Washington. The name of the movie is to remain a surprise for the curious ones.
