Van Gogh Mosaic Portrait Made with Polo Shirts

Art and creativity know no limits, and as Edward de Bono once said: “Without creativity, there would be no progress and we would be forever repeating the same patterns.”

The giant reproduction of Vincent Van Gogh’s famous self-portrait displayed in the lobby of the Marunouchi Building, near Tokyo Station, is another proof of human creativity.

Made with 2070 polo shirts of 24 different colors, the 10x10m mosaic is part of a campaign by Onward Kashiyama Co, a Tokyo-based apparel maker, to use painting colors into shirt designs.
